This project consisted of 32,485 square feet of new college dorms. Some of the key elements of the project included working under very tight time constraints, on a very small construction site, in a dense residential area. The City of Prescott mandated that existing utility infrastructure was to be completely overhauled, and careful coordination was needed to keep vehicle traffic, pedestrian traffic, and neighbors safe during this highly intrusive phase of the project. Utility shutdowns were also successfully coordinated with the college, and the surrounding neighbors. The dorms consisted of three, three story buildings sharing a common gathering area and kitchen, and 5 bedrooms. Total student capacity was 104 students. Many architectural site features were integrated into the project, as well as full landscaping.
This goal of this project was to achieve LEED Gold Certification. LEED Platinum Certification was actually achieved from the USGBC.
